Kansas Trophy Whitetail Hunt

We will be offering Rifle & Bow hunts, hunts on small to large, private farms in
Central Kansas, in Unit 8, Morris Co. There are some true bruiser bucks on this
property. The most prevalent characteristic in this herd is heavy main beams
with a tendency toward massive bases, with usually 10+ points. Taking a 150”
class buck on this property is a real possibility for those hunters who pass on
smaller bucks and match wits against the mature deer. We produced a 285"
B&C monster whitetail buck in 2006

The biggest question when planning a trophy whitetail bow hunt is: What kind
of deer are there?  There must be a quality deer herd, or there won't be any
trophy bucks.  Kansas has the formula for success .To begin with, Kansas has
a good strain of whitetail.  Add to that a good food supply of corn, soybeans,
wheat and alfalfa.  Then throw in all the wild forage that is available.  Next add a
good measure of habitat, with good management practices. We also have
great cover and protection for the deer.

Hunters will need to apply for a tag with the Kansas Dept of Wildlife and Parks
web site.  A 50% deposit holds your spot and will be refunded by July 15th if you
fail to get drawn
.

Rolling hills give way to creek bottoms while steep draws throughout hold deer
and provide cover. We will mostly be hunting from tree stands. It's sure to be a
hunt to remember. All hunts are semi-guided

way we hunt.

We have tree stands located in all the right spots. Stand locations are surveyed
from Aerial maps and strategically placed with several years of scouting and
reports from previous clients. You can expect 90% of the stands being elevated
and a few ground blinds where stand are not feasible. We monitor the deer
activity and history in determining where to place the stands. We try to put
them in the best spots, however, if you find a spot that looks hot right now, the
stands can be moved. Depending on the time of the season, we use different
techniques. Like using Scents, decoys, calling, rattling or any other technique
that you choose. This is a semi-guided hunt, unlike a self-guided hunt; you are
not all on your own. We have maps and markers to help you find your way in
and back out from the stands. We also love to talk and give as much advice as
is wanted or needed.
