We will be offering Rifle & Bow hunts, hunts on small to large, private farms in Central Kansas, in Unit 8, Morris Co. There are some true bruiser bucks on this property. The most prevalent characteristic in this herd is heavy main beams with a tendency toward massive bases, with usually 10+ points. Taking a 150” class buck on this property is a real possibility for those hunters who pass on smaller bucks and match wits against the mature deer. We produced a 285" B&C monster whitetail buck in 2006 The biggest question when planning a trophy whitetail bow hunt is: What kind of deer are there? There must be a quality deer herd, or there won't be any trophy bucks. Kansas has the formula for success .To begin with, Kansas has a good strain of whitetail. Add to that a good food supply of corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa. Then throw in all the wild forage that is available. Next add a good measure of habitat, with good management practices. We also have great cover and protection for the deer. Hunters will need to apply for a tag with the Kansas Dept of Wildlife and Parks web site. A 50% deposit holds your spot and will be refunded by July 15th if you fail to get drawn. Rolling hills give way to creek bottoms while steep draws throughout hold deer and provide cover. We will mostly be hunting from tree stands. It's sure to be a hunt to remember. All hunts are semi-guided way we hunt. We have tree stands located in all the right spots. Stand locations are surveyed from Aerial maps and strategically placed with several years of scouting and reports from previous clients. You can expect 90% of the stands being elevated and a few ground blinds where stand are not feasible. We monitor the deer activity and history in determining where to place the stands. We try to put them in the best spots, however, if you find a spot that looks hot right now, the stands can be moved. Depending on the time of the season, we use different techniques. Like using Scents, decoys, calling, rattling or any other technique that you choose. This is a semi-guided hunt, unlike a self-guided hunt; you are not all on your own. We have maps and markers to help you find your way in and back out from the stands. We also love to talk and give as much advice as is wanted or needed. Details about the hunt. Our hunts are semi-guided. Early season hunts could have high temperatures as much as 85+ degrees, late season hunts are usually around 20-30 degrees for the highs. We provide lodging, tree stands and will assist in packing out the game. In addition you must purchase the necessary permits and licenses. You must have a valid hunter’s safety card in your possession. Hunting Fee’s 6-day semi-guided hunt $4,000.00 8-day semi-guided hunt $4,500.00 10-day semi-guided hunt $5,000.00 Add $200.00 per day if you should desire a fully guided hunt. Please Note: 50% Deposits are required at time of booking of your hunt All hunts must be paid in full NO LATER THAN 30 DAYS IN ADVANCE of your scheduled hunting dates. We will refund 50% of the cost if you stay the entire time and don't harvest your animal Our hunting packages DO NOT include your hunting license or tags.
